favourite track: street lights

probably the ye album listen to the least, mostly bc its not really my speed but I can see why people absolutely love it. its absolutely revolutionary in its themes and production. but as with every new innovation it is ultimately supplanted by later iterations. I really do think its the black sheep in his catalogue. the verses are generally much weaker than his previous projects and the production imo isnt as interesting. I do appreciate the reliative lack of samples used in the project (i think theres like 3 or 4). while its an album i dont often revisit, i appreciate why people do and the profound impact it had.
